Raphaël

CEO

Raphaël is a data science expert, entrepreneur and CEO of Qucit. He has always been passionate about understanding the world through mathematical modeling and concerned about environmental protection.

Raphaël studied at the ENS of Lyon and obtained a PhD in Theoretical Physics on complex systems. He then worked as a teacher-researcher at Arts et Métiers de Bordeaux, working on CO2 storage to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 2013, he left his academic position to create Qucit and participate in making cities more sustainable.

Raphael is also a co-founder of the theatre improvisation association "Restons Calmes", a black belt in taekwondo, and has made more than 5000 trips in various self-service bicycle systems.

The great thing about bike sharing is how it allows you to enjoy the city to the fullest. It’s like a super power that allows you to teleport from one point to another and to mix modes of transportation (bike, walk, public transport) according to your desires or the weather.

Hassène

CTO

Hassène is the Chief Technical Officer at Qucit and an expert in distributed systems. He is responsible for our cloud architecture and ensures with our backend team that it remains both highly available and scalable.

He holds two degrees in computer science engineering from the National School of Computer Science in Tunisia as well as from the Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux.

Outside of work, Hassène enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and street photography.

My bike is my favourite way of getting around the city. I use it for my commute, all my errands and the occasional day trip away from the urban environment. Even though I don’t identify myself as a cyclist, I hope that someday I would bike-pack across the country.

Marie

VP Sales & Customer Success

Marie is responsible for business development at Qucit, but her number one mission is to ensure that our customers get the most value from Qucit Bike. She joined Qucit for its mission to make cities more livable, efficient and sustainable.

Before joining Qucit, Marie worked in the US, Spain and India in various technical fields (telecom, electronics, ...). Passionate about mobility and urbanism, she then created an association, Urbanovacion, to identify innovative mobilities around the world and dedicated the year 2016 to a documentary on South American mobilities.

Besides her passion for travel, Marie loves to cook (and rather spicy!).

I discovered the bike-share system in Bordeaux, where I could ride all over the city. My goal now is to cycle the Canal du Midi.

Paul

Front-end Engineer

Paul is a full-time hacker and full stack developer. At Qucit, his mission is focused on front-end development to improve the user experience and user interface.
