Our mission

At Qucit, we strongly believe in more liveable and sustainable cities. One of the pillars of cities around the world is mobility. It allows everyone to access all the services of a community. Our idea is to accompany our customers, the operators of shared micro-mobility or shared scooters, to offer an ecological and reliable way of getting around to a maximum number of people. We partner with them to simplify their day-to-day field operations for a more profitable, clean and sustainable shared mobility.

Roll back into Qucit history

From the first idea to nowadays, the history of Qucit is intimately linked to the history of bike-sharing and shared mobility, in France and in the world.

Qucit 2024 timeline

  • After Miami in 2019, 4 new cities are now using Qucit: Long Beach, Aspen, Philadelphia and finally Austin! This growth demonstrates Qucit's commitment to contributing to sustainable and intelligent mobility solutions across the Atlantic.

  • A new module dedicated to optimizing efficient bike recharging (battery swaps, rebalancing to charging stations)

  • Opening of Qucit to all micro-mobility systems (scooters, bikes and moped) including free floating systems!

  • Use of Qucit by the Smovengo - Paris (France) and Pedalem - Barcelona (Spain) teams, which total nearly 30,000 bikes!

Technologies are evolving and the electric bike and its battery issues are emerging. Qucit adapts and offers bike maintenance functions in addition to rebalancing.

  • Expansion into the Canadian market with 3 new systems: Vancouver, Toronto and Quebec City.

  • 2019: Internationalization with a launch in Vancouver (Canada) and Tartu (Estonia) & growth in the French market with launches in Lille (France) and Rennes (France).

  • Launch of the software optimizing the rebalancing operations of bike sharing systems for Vcub in Bordeaux (France)

  • Development of an API predicting the borrowing and return of bikes over the next 24 hours integrated by Ile de France Mobilité (France), Keolis Bordeaux (France) and Keolis Dijon (France)

  • Creation of Qucit in May and launch of Research and Development work

  • Raphaël, founder of Qucit, starts his research work and thinks about how to encourage users to naturally rebalance the stations

  • Launch of V3, the bike sharing system in Bordeaux (France)

  • Launch of Vélo'v, the first large-scale bike sharing system in France

"The idea for Qucit was really born in 2013, following the arrival of V3, the Bordeaux bike-sharing system. At the time, I was working as a researcher professor. I was leading a data study on the analysis of V3 users' behavior. At the same time, as a daily user, I often found the stations empty or full. Frustrated, I decided to combine my innovation skills with my love of shared mobility and cities to find a solution to simplify the optimization of shared mobility systems. Qucit was born!"
