Renowned for its vibrant music scene, booming tech industry, and progressive mindset, Austin is also taking major steps to transform the way its residents move around the city. With growing traffic challenges and strong ambitions for sustainability, the Texas capital is betting on shared, electric, and multimodal transportation.

MetroBike, the city’s official bike share program operated by CapMetro, offers 494 electric bikes across 53 stations in the city. The service provides an accessible and low-emission solution for commuting, connecting to transit, or simply exploring the city in a greener way.

Since July 2024, CapMetro has partnered with Qucit to streamline and optimize field operations. With 20 regular users of Qucit Bike, the MetroBike team now leverages AI data-powered tools to ensuring better bike availability and improved service reliability.
