Focus on Philadelphia!
Our series of posts introduces you to the various cities with which Qucit has partnered to offer solutions for optimizing mobility systems. Find out how our solutions are helping to improve urban mobility in these areas!
Today, it's halfway between New York and Washington DC, in the “City of Brotherly Love”, that we're setting down our luggage to discover its shared bike system. Philadelphia, the first capital of the United States, now offers its residents an extensive network of bike paths, as well as a system of 2,400 self-service bicycles and 250 stations. The City of Philadelphia delegates operations of the Indego system to Bicycle Transit System.
Discovering Philadelphia's centuries of history and architecture, beautiful neighborhoods and vibrant culture by pedaling is the ideal activity to occupy your free time. The city has established a growing number of safe bike paths and events dedicated to cycling, such as the Philly Bike Ride, which covers 20 miles (32 km) of streets for memorable group rides!
Since May 2024, Qucit has been assisting the Bicycle Transit System teams in their field operations to ensure the best possible experience for all shared bike enthusiasts (whether they're just passing through or not)!
Be sure to check out the next blog, which will focus on Austin.
