The most populous city in Brazil and South America, Sao Paulo is also the third most congested city in the world. Its relief, its infrastructures and the transport habits of its population have increased urban pollution by 26% in just ten years! In order to reduce this pollution and decongest the city center, the authorities of Sao Paulo have taken measures to limit road traffic and invest in cleaner mobility. This is how in 2018, the city got one of the most modern bike sharing systems in the world, Bike Sampa!

Managed by operator Tembici, the São Paulo bike share system is the most used bike share system in the world! Budding cyclists in São Paulo currently have 3,100 bikes spread over 260 stations to explore the lanes of Sao Paulo. To manage the large flows on both sides of the city, Tembici field teams use Qucit Bike.
