Focus on Salvador, Brazil!
Our blog posts series presents the different cities with which Qucit has partnered to offer mobility system optimization solutions. Discover how our solutions contribute to improving urban mobility in these areas!
Salvador de Bahia, Brazil's third largest city, known for its beautiful beaches and lively nightlife, can actually be visited by bike! Residents and tourists can explore the impressive landscapes of this territory using its 280 km of cycle paths. It is also possible to visit the waterfront via the cycle path from Porto da Barra to Rio Vermelho. However, it is not necessary to have your own bike for cycling tourism, since Salvador de Bahia has its own bike sharing system: Bike Salvador!
Since 2018, Bike Salvador has offered its users no less than 400 bikes spread over 50 stations. A very dynamic system that has led Qucit to collaborate with the operator Tembici. Since 2020, Qucit has made its Qucit Bike application available to help field teams optimize the rebalancing of stations in order to offer an optimal system to Bike Salvador users!
In our next post, we will discover the bike share system in Barcelona !
