Marseille, has launched its first Bicycle Plan in 2019 to improve the cycling offer on its territory. The second largest city of France has lagged behind other French cities and offered very few cycling facilities for its inhabitants. That’s why by 2024, this ambitious Bicycle Plan aims to increase the use of bicycles in Marseille by five by extending the city's bicycle network to 85 km, increasing the number of bicycle parking spaces to 3,600, and above all renewing its bike share system: Le Vélo!

Since 2007, shared bikes have been available on the streets of Marseille. Initially operated by JCDecaux, the "Le Vélo" system had 1,000 bikes spread over 130 stations. Today, the operator Inurba Mobility has taken over and is offering an expanded system with 2,000 electric bikes and 200 stations! The new system, renamed "levélo", is based on Fifteen technology and has been in place since December 2022.

Since January 2023, Qucit has been assisting the Inurba Mobility teams in their rebalancing and battery swapping operations in order to ensure a good quality of service for the inhabitants of Marseille.
