Bicycle Transit Systems - Philadelphie

Bicycle Transit Systems

The Indego network is operated by Bicycle Transit Systems, an American company that pioneered bike-sharing in the United States, with its leaders launching systems in almost all major U.S. cities! Today, the company has over 100 employees operating three major systems: Los angeles Metro Bike Share, Philadelphia’s Indego, and Las Vegas’ RTC Bike Share.
Since May 2024, Qucit has been assisting the Bicycle Transit Systems teams in their field operations to ensure the best possible experience for all bike-sharing enthusiasts (whether they are just passing through or regular users)!

« With a rapidly growing system, we needed to find ways to be more efficient with our field operations so that we could keep up with the increased labor demands while limiting marginal cost. Qucit allowed us to do this by replacing our traditional dispatch function, which had previously been done by a dedicated team of staff. We were able to re-allocate these staff members to oversee other field staff and to help fulfill the more direct labor needs of the system. »
— Nate Bowman-Johnston, General Manager Bicycle Transit Systems

Sagulpa - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Sagulpa

The Sítycleta bike-sharing system has been operated since 2018 by Sagulpa, the Municipal Parking Company of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on behalf of the Mobility Department of the City Council. In the last 4 years, the bikes, supplied by Nextbike by Tier, have been used more than 870,000 times, which represents more than 309,000 hours of use!

In July 2022, the partnership between Sagulpa and Qucit began with more than 13,000 rebalancing operations performed by Sagulpa's teams on Qucit Bike, in only 6 months!

« Before we started working with Qucit, it was difficult to know which stations were going to need urgent rebalancing and therefore to anticipate the actions to be taken. Also, before Qucit, field operators often went to the same station at the same time to perform the same task. Now, with Qucit Bike, each field operator has a separate task to perform. Finally, Qucit allows us to respond quickly to the seasonal changes that our service faces, due to the tourist nature of our city. »
— José Eduardo Ramírez Hermoso, Councillor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

UTE Pedalem - Barcelone

UTE Pedalem

The Bicing system, managed by UTE Pedalem, a company funded by Serveo and PBSC, is Barcelona's bike-sharing system. With more than 7,000 bikes, 2,000 electric and 5,000 mechanical, in over 500 stations, Bicing is the largest system in Spain!

In 2021, it is the beginning of the partnership between UTE Pedalem and Qucit with more than 50,000 rebalancing operations performed by UTE Pedalem teams on Qucit Bike!

« I think Qucit’s strongest point is its capacity to adapt to every city where it is implemented. As an operations manager I thank the facility to create our own rebalancing areas in just three clicks, and its facility to be created by any stakeholder in the logistics teams. Within the collaboration with Qucit staff we can change the parameters of one specific area to be less or more regulated after analyzing the data. »
— Daniel Vallés Lusilla, Logistics & Fleet Manager at UTE PEDALEM (Bicing)

àVélo Quebec

àVélo Quebec

The àVélo system is managed by Capitale Mobilité, a limited partnership of the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC), which provides public bus transportation for Quebec City and the surrounding area. At the RTC's initiative, the àVélo program was launched in July 2021 with 10 stations and 100 electric-assist bikes; the system now boasts 115 stations and 1,300 bikes!

2022 sees the start of the partnership between Capitale Mobilité and Qucit, with teams already carrying out more than 66,500 rebalancing and battery swap operations by 2023!

« The Qucit Bike technology has impacted different aspects of our operations. On the one hand, it simplifies the management of regulation tasks by facilitating their distribution in the field for our field operators. On the other hand, the tool allows for better tracking of distances traveled, the number of actions performed by our crews and the tasks performed. »
— Pierre Béranger, project Manager for Bike Sharing Operations

Inurba Mobility - Clermont

Inurba Mobility

Created by the Syndicat Mixte des Transports en Commun de l'Agglomération Clermontoise in 2013, Clermont Auvergne Métropole's C.vélo program now has 680 bicycles in 57 stations!

Since September 2021, the C.vélo system has been managed by Inurba Mobility, the leading Spanish operator in Europe for the management of public bike-sharing systems.

In 2022, the partnership between Inurba Mobility and Qucit begins with more than 16,000 rebalancing and bike collection operations performed by Inurba Mobility teams on Qucit Bike!

« The objective in working with a tool like Qucit Bike was to increase the availability of our stations with bikes available on the C.vélo system. This has now been achieved, thanks in particular to an improvement in our rebalancing operations in the field. Qucit Bike is a tool that was easily taken on board by the operators in the field, allowing them to combine their knowledge of the terrain with the automatic recommendations of the application. As the tool is very intuitive, training during the implementation of the software is very quick, which allows for use in the field within a few days. »
— Fabrice Villeger, Operations Manager at C.vélo

Smovengo - Paris

Smovengo

Created in 2007, Vélib' Métropole is one of the first shared bike services in the world. The aim of the Vélib' Métropole service is to facilitate the development of new forms of mobility in the Greater Paris metropolitan area.

With 1,400 stations in Paris and 55 municipalities in the metropolis, the Vélib' service is the largest bike-sharing system in the world, by the end of 2020!

Since January 2018, Smovengo is the operator of the Vélib' system, relying on a team of nearly 500 employees!

In 2021, it is the beginning of the partnership between Smovengo and Qucit with more than 100 000 operations made by Smovengo's teams on Qucit Bike!

« Qucit Bike allows us to free up time at the control centre by letting the algorithm suggest the best tasks to the agents. In this way, the control centre can take care of other important tasks for the operation of the fleet. Right from the start, the tool was well adopted by all the stakeholders, from managers to agents and the control centre. The fact that the Qucit team was by our side throughout the implementation phase played a very important role. Indeed, the remarks/requests coming from the agents were took into account and most of the time implemented quite quickly by Qucit, which greatly contributed to the acceptance of the tool by the agents. »
— Mohamed Ali Kari, Head of IS Operations at Smovengo

DecoBike - Miami

DecoBike

Launched in 2011, initially in Miami Beach, Citi Bike is the first privately funded bike share program in the United States.

Since 2015, the program has expanded to the city of Miami, Surfside and Bay Harbor Island. Today, there are more than 2,000 bikes and 160 stations. More than 16 people from DecoBike ensures the rebalancing and maintenance of the service all year round.

In 2021, it is the beginning of the partnership between DecoBike and Qucit with nearly 10,000 operations performed by DecoBike teams with Qucit Bike!

« We had challenges keeping stations with available bikes and with empty docks so riders could return the bikes. Qucit has help us forecast which stations would require bikes and at the same time have docks available. It also has help us getting the drivers organized with their daily task. We been getting great feedback from the members and users about having bikes available which in return helps us in the overall operations of the business. »
— Bonifacio Diaz, DecoBike COO

Tartu City Transport - Tartu

Tartu City Transport

Launched in June 2019, Tartu Smart Bike Share is Estonia's first public bike-sharing system. These 750 bikes are spread over 94 stations located in the city. Today, a team of more than 15 people from Tartu City Transport regulate and maintain the service all year round.

Two years after its launch, more than 8,000 users are using the 750 bikes in 94 stations throughout the city of Tartu every day, in summer and winter. In total, more than 5 million kilometers have been travelled in 2 years!

In 2021, almost 23,000 operations have been performed by the Tartu teams on Qucit Bike!

« The rebalancing itself was much more effective and the controllers who did it began to receive clearer tasks. When an operator sees that his work is productive, his performance also increases. Also, due to the shortage of spare parts, the number of our bikes decreased by about 15%, but their usage remained about the same thanks to the rebalancing system. »
— Roman Meeksa, Manager at Tartu Linnatransport

Shift Transit - Bike Share Toronto

Shift Transit

Shift Transit is a leading operator in the field of shared mobility. Its teams manage more than 25,000 vehicles daily, including scooters, bikes, car-sharing vehicles and shared vans.

Since 2017, Shift Transit's teams have been in charge of the daily operation of the Bike Share Toronto system, from field replenishment operations, maintenance, marketing management and even customer service!

To strengthen its operational capabilities, Shift Transit looked for a technology solution that would allow better management and optimization of tasks, while absorbing its growth, improving rebalancing and reducing operational costs.

« With the implementation of Qucit Bike, our operations are optimized for vehicle mileage, gas consumption, and labour costs.[...] As a result of our partnership, we’ve seen very strong Y-o-Y improvements in availability shortages (full & empty stations). We also have the ability to get granular details on team member output, which allows us to improve our approach to employee coaching & training »
— Monica Wejman, General Manager, Bike Share Toronto at Shift Transit

TAM - Vélomagg’

TAM (Transports de l'Agglomération de Montpellier)

TAM uses Qucit Bike to optimize the restocking of the 55 Velomagg stations, anticipate demand and provide a powerful tool for its field teams.

Over the last few years, the Vélomagg' system has been developed: new technologies have been implemented (new totems, Eftpos terminals, reservations from the M'Ticket application...) and the number of users is increasing. In these conditions, the challenge is to ensure good availability of bikes and docks while optimizing operating costs and having a good vision of its system, which is in constant evolution.

To meet these challenges, TAM decided to use the Qucit Bike solution to help optimize its rebalancing operations.

« With Qucit, we obtain a more efficient monitoring of regulators with supervision and movements that can be consulted by all stakeholders in real time! »
— Danny Pinol, Mobility Services Maintenance Manager, TAM

Cykleo Bordeaux - V3

Cykleo

Cykleo has been the operator of Bordeaux Métropole's bike-sharing system, the V3, since 2010. The operation of 181 stations spread over an area of 579 km2 requires highly sophisticated logistics, maintenance and regulation methods.

Cykleo has found a technological partner in Qucit to respond to its business issues. Qucit provides logistics products based on the analysis of each city's data and context to predict the demand for shared vehicles. Cykleo now uses a unique tool for managing its field operations: Qucit Bike Redistribution. This tool provides a real-time vision of the regulation actions that need to be carried out at each station. These actions are ordered according to their level of priority. The Cykleo agents are then responsible for adapting their tours to these priorities while limiting their travel.

« Thanks to Qucit Bike, we are seeing a significant decrease in the number of regulated bicycles. This represents a gain in handling, implying a decrease in occupational risks. Of course, this reduction is not at the expense of availability rates. »
— Nicolas Meillan, South-West Operations Manager, Cykleo

Vancouver Bike Share - Mobi by Shaw go

Mobi by Shaw Go

Since its launch in June 2016, Vancouver's public bike system (201 stations), Mobi By Shaw Go, has been operated by Vancouver Bike Share, Inc. (a subsidiary of Cyclehop).

The number of stations and users on the system is increasing rapidly. The challenge is therefore to continue to ensure good availability of bikes and docks by controlling operating costs and improving the system's carbon footprint.

« With Qucit Bike, we reduce the number of kilometers traveled and ensure that the bikes are taken to where they are needed most. This has allowed us to meet the increased demand on our system as ridership has increased, without having to invest in new rebalancing vehicles or significantly expand our team. Qucit Bike is also a tool that has improved our team’s job satisfaction, making it easier for them to make effective rebalancing decisions.  »
— Jeremy BRAACX, Director of Operations Vancouver Bike Share Inc, Mobi by Shaw Go
